Armenian FM to attend Collective Security Treaty Organisation’s event
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will pay a working visit to Lithuania on June 20.
Mirzoyan is expected to meet with high-ranking Lithuanian officials in Vilnius, including Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, the Armenian media reports citing the foreign ministry, Caliber.Az reports.
A joint press conference, as well as a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony will be held after the meeting.
Meanwhile, Mirzoyan will not take part in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Press Secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Ani Badalyan said, the Armenian media reports.
A meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, will be held in Almaty on June 21, 2024.
The current issues of international and regional security are planned to be discussed.
The documents aimed at further improving the activity of the CSTO are expected to be signed and several political statements are expected to be adopted following the meeting.
