Armenian FM, US under secretary of state discuss TRIPP project
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker have discussed advancing the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, marking the 100th day since the Washington Peace Summit on August 8.
During a meeting in Yerevan on November 17, the sides mulled the ongoing work to implement the agreements reached in Washington, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
TRIPP initiative, which aims to expand regional transport and connectivity networks, was highlighted as a key priority in the discussions. The sides exchanged views on the preparatory work needed to build the TRIPP project.
In addition to the TRIPP project, the two officials discussed other areas of mutual interest, including energy, artificial intelligence, investment promotion, and infrastructure development.
“We are pleased with the active dynamics of our political dialogue, which is enriching our strategic partnership with new initiatives,” Mirzoyan said.
Hooker arrived in Yerevan, Armenia, earlier in the day. As part of the visit, Hooker is also expected to meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan, and Armenia’s special representative for negotiations with Türkiye, Ruben Rubinyan.
The US Department of State also announced that Hooker is set to visit Azerbaijan, with no exact date revealed yet.
