03 March 2026 11:37
Armenian Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan recently gave testimony in the Anti-Corruption Court in connection with a COVID-19 case, Armenian media reports.
Avanesyan had previously missed two court sessions, citing a busy schedule. The content of her testimony and potential next steps in the case have not been officially disclosed.
The case concerns alleged mismanagement and abuses during the 2020 pandemic, when Avanesyan served as Deputy Health Minister under then-Minister Arsen Torosyan.
Torosyan, who was reappointed head of the Ministry of Health in 2025, is also expected to be questioned in connection with the case.
