Armenian interior minister meets US ambassador to discuss TRIPP project
Armenian Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan met with the United States Ambassador to Armenia, Kristina Kvien, on January 13, as the diplomat prepares to conclude her mission in the country.
According to the Interior Ministry’s press service, Minister Sargsyan praised Ambassador Kvien’s sustained efforts to strengthen Armenian-American relations, highlighting her “invaluable contribution,” Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
She noted that during Kvien’s tenure, bilateral ties had reached a strategic level.
The minister emphasised the importance of effective cooperation between the two sides, noting that in recent years joint efforts had successfully delivered a number of key programmes under the Interior Ministry’s reform agenda.
Ambassador Kvien expressed gratitude to Minister Sargsyan and the ministry’s team for their constructive collaboration, commending the jointly implemented initiatives and close cooperation in the investigation of several criminal cases.
The officials also discussed the implementation of the TRIPP project, planned joint initiatives with the ministry, and other matters of mutual interest.
Minister Sargsyan wished Ambassador Kvien continued success, stating that she would “always remain a friend of Armenia.”
