Armenian lawmakers set to join Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Istanbul

A delegation of Armenian lawmakers, headed by National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan, is scheduled to visit Istanbul from April 16 to 19 to take part in the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The delegation will also include Sargis Khandanyan, chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Relations; Tsovinar Vardanyan, chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs; and Hasmik Hakobyan, a member of parliament representing the Civil Contract faction.

The visit is part of Armenia’s participation in the international parliamentary gathering, which brings together legislators from around the world to discuss global political, economic and social issues.
