Armenian lawyer reports mass detentions of protesters across country

A widespread crackdown has commenced in Armenia, with reports of mass detentions targeting supporters of the revanchist protest movement in Yerevan and several other cities, lawyer Ruben Melikyan said.

According to Melikyan, law enforcement authorities began the series of arrests early in the morning, apprehending individuals associated with the protest movement, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.

The actions are purportedly aimed at curbing dissent and maintaining public order amidst escalating tensions.
