Armenian leader may attend upcoming Moscow cycling race
Organisers of the Sadovoye Koltso cycling race said they plan to invite Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to attend the competition, scheduled to take place in Moscow at the end of May.
“We would be happy to invite the prime minister to return to Moscow at the end of May and attend our flagship event — the Sadovoye Koltso cycling race, which has international status,” the organisers said, according to RIA Novosti.
Organisers added that cyclists from both nearby and more distant countries are expected to travel to Moscow to participate in the race, which has a long history and was not cancelled even during World War II.
Pashinyan previously cycled through central Moscow during a visit in December 2025.
The Armenian prime minister is currently expected to be in Moscow on a working visit on Wednesday, April 1, where he is scheduled to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
