Armenian leader says agreements with Azerbaijan yield real results
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has reiterated the significance of the recent statement by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding the lifting of export restrictions to Armenia.
Speaking during a session of the Armenian government, Pashinyan expressed satisfaction over progress in overcoming the regional blockade.
“I note with satisfaction that step by step, Armenia is overcoming the blockade. Azerbaijan's decision to lift restrictions on exports to our country has been discussed for two days already,” he said.
The Prime Minister recalled that he had previously addressed the issue on the international stage, during the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi.
“On the international platform, during the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi, I expressed my assessment of the Azerbaijani President's decision and welcomed it. Now I want to do it here as well,” Pashinyan added.
He emphasised that the move represents a tangible outcome of diplomatic efforts.
“This is an important step, which demonstrates that the Washington Declaration and the agreements reached are not just words, but real measures that have brought concrete results,” the Armenian leader said.
