Armenian military official arrested in bribery probe

Armenian authorities have arrested the head of a division at the Armavir military commissariat on bribery charges, the country’s Anti-Corruption Committee announced.

A criminal case has been opened against the official and three other individuals. Investigators say the case involves the acceptance of bribes in exchange for exempting citizens from mandatory military training, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media. 

The authorities have not disclosed further details, and the investigation is ongoing.
