Armenian MP: Pashinyan takes next step towards hostility with Russia Kocharyan's party on MP Zatulin's entry ban
"Nikol Pashinyan’s pro-Azerbaijani step. Hiding behind a family newspaper, Nikol Pashinyan has spread the news that the Russian member of the Duma, First Deputy of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, Konstantin Zatulin is banned from entering Armenia".
As Caliber.Az reports, Aregnaz Manukyan, a member of the “Armenia Alliance” political party led by former President Robert Kocharyan, has shared her frustration with the Prime Minister’s latest decision on her Facebook page.
"Nikol’s newspaper writes, that he [Zatulin] has criticized Nikol Pashinyan and that is why he was banned from entering Armenia. Zatulin is one of the leading lobbyists defending Armenian interests in Russia, one of the most Armenian-friendly Duma members.
Interestingly enough, he is also banned from Azerbaijan because of his visit to and protection of Karabakh’s interests.
Nikol is taking yet another pro-Azerbaijani step and the next step towards hostility with Russia", her post reads.
Caliber.Az recalls, that Konstantin Zatulin is a Member of the Russian Duma [parliament] and is being heavily promoted by the Armenian diaspora in Russia. He repeatedly appears on Russian state media channels with harsh comments against Azerbaijan and vehemently defended the illegal occupation of Karabakh by Armenian separatist forces. As Trend reported, his lobbying efforts do not meet the interests of Moscow's policy towards Armenia anymore as Yerevan has made the decision to turn to the West in search for a strategic partner.
