Armenian MP: Pashinyan to turn Armenia into battlefield between Russia, West

15 November 2023 09:41

Armenia’s opposition MP Gagik Minasyan has said that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will turn Armenia into a battlefield between Russia and the West.

"Pashinyan is consistently on the path of changing Armenia's foreign policy, and the political vector that will result in Armenia suffering the fate of Ukraine will become a battlefield for Russian and Western forces," Minasyan told Armenian media commenting on Pashinyan's decision on November 14 not to join the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) meeting, Caliber.Az reports.

"Even after he came to power in 2018, it was obvious that Armenia's foreign policy vector should change, that's why the colour revolution happened, that's what happens in all countries that have changed their foreign policy vector. We should recognize that what happened is a colour revolution, and the essence of colour revolutions is deception and populism. People come to power to fulfil not their promises, but the orders of their masters. By changing its foreign policy vector to the West, to NATO countries, Armenia will be deprived not only of its only ally - Russia, but also of Iran.

This step will be devastating, we will be left alone. Ukraine tried to become a NATO member and look where it is now.

Dear people, Nikol's party is the party of war and death. ‘War and death to the Armenian people’, this is what is written on the forehead of this party, this is what they have brought to the Armenian people during these 5 years," Minasyan said.
