Georgia, Tajikistan sign series of cooperation agreements PHOTO

Georgia and Tajikistan have signed a series of cooperation agreements in Tajikistan as part of a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and his Tajik counterpart, Kokhir Rasulzoda, in both narrow and expanded formats.

Khovar said the sides discussed expanding cooperation in the economy and trade, transport and logistics, energy, industry, agriculture, education, culture, and tourism, confirming mutual interest in strengthening bilateral ties, Caliber.Az reports, citing Tajik media.

Following the talks, 11 cooperation documents were signed, including an agreement on the establishment of an intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation and a protocol on cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries, as well as a number of sectoral agreements aimed at strengthening the institutional framework of the partnership.
