Armenian MP seeking ministerial position, PM's team opposes

The legislative initiative of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's government on the establishment of the İnterior Ministry will be submitted to the parliament for discussion in September.

MP from Civil Contract Andranik Kocharyan, who holds in his heart an impossible dream to become the defence minister, is applying for the post of interior minister, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.

However, a powerful internal campaign is being conducted against Kocharyan. Moreover, such "old men" in power as Vigen Khachatryan, Gagik Dzhangiryan and others are trying to prevent his appointment, who predict the catastrophic consequences of Kocharyan's appointment.
