Armenian oligarch Tsarukyan recruits political partners ahead of elections
On the eve of the upcoming elections, Armenian businessman and political figure Gagik Tsarukyan is actively broadening his political base.
The Democratic Alternative Party, led by Suren Surenyants, has officially joined the Proposition Armenia initiative spearheaded by Tsarukyan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Hraparak newspaper.
According to the publication, a potential alliance with the "Country for Life" party is also under consideration. However, the party’s co-founder Mesrop Arakelyan stated that no formal discussions on this matter have taken place so far.
Hraparak notes that Tsarukyan’s initiative seeks to build one of the main political platforms in preparation for the 2026 parliamentary elections.
The project team is reportedly engaged in talks with figures from Armenia’s expert and diplomatic circles. Among those involved in these consultations is former Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan, the newspaper added.
