Armenian opposition: Azerbaijan controls regional roads in Zangezur

Tigran Abrahamyan, secretary of the opposition faction "I Have Honour" in Armenia's parliament, highlighted Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent visit to Syunik (Zangezur), where he toured areas where Armenia faced significant strategic setbacks in September 2022.

According to Caliber.Az, Abrahamyan expressed concerns on his Facebook page, noting, "Not only Armenian settlements in this region but also the critical Gafan-Meghri highway, important for both national and regional transportation, are now directly monitored by Azerbaijan. The issue of security remains a pressing concern."

Abrahamyan criticized the Armenian government for what he perceived as conceding a strategic advantage and attempting to conceal it.
