Armenian opposition journalist detained as authorities raid media office

Armenian law enforcement officers have detained David Fidanyan, a journalist with the opposition outlet Antifake.am.
Lawyer Ruben Melikyan confirmed the arrest, stating that Fidanyan has been charged with obstruction of justice, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
Earlier, it was reported that authorities conducted searches at the Antifake.am office, seizing equipment as part of the investigation.
The detention follows the earlier arrests of Vazgen Saghatelyan and Narek Samsonyan, hosts of the Imnemnemi podcast, which was recorded at Antifake.am’s offices. Samsonyan is also one of the publication’s founders. Both men were detained on hooliganism charges after a complaint filed by Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan.
