Armenian parliament deputy urges top cleric to focus on family, not Church affairs
Ruben Rubinyan, the Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, commented on Garegin II’s criticism of the clergy, noting that commemorating the Catholicos during a vacant catholicosate is not possible, and urged him to focus on his family.
According to Caliber.Az, Rubinyan wrote on his Facebook page:
"I have seen that Ktrich Nersisyan, through the episcopal assembly, condemned the 'deliberate ignoring of the issue of commemorating the Catholicos of All Armenians during the Divine Liturgy by certain clergy.'"

"Nersisyan is mistaken: clergy cannot commemorate the Catholicos of All Armenians during the liturgy while the seat is vacant. Ktrich Nersisyan is not the Catholicos. When a new, legitimate Supreme Patriarch, who has not broken his vows, is elected, then it will be appropriate to commemorate him."
Rubinyan added that Nersisyan should "cease his intrusion into the Mother See, leave the Patriarchate, and dedicate his life to his children and grandchildren, as any good father should."
