Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan to relinquish seat

Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan has announced that he is relinquishing his parliamentary mandate.

According to Armenian media, cited by Caliber.Az, Simonyan made the statement during a briefing.

Simonyan said he holds no grievances against the party or Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, but wants to take some time off, including to focus on his personal life. He added that he has not discussed his future political plans with Pashinyan, though he does not see himself in politics without the current team.
