Armenian PM, CSTO Secretary General discuss regional developments

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov.

“The prime minister congratulated Tasmagambetov on taking office as CSTO Secretary General and wished him fruitful work,” the prime minister’s press service said, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.

The sides exchanged views on the current situation in the CSTO’s zone of responsibility, regional developments and security challenges.

In this context, a number of issues regarding the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the CSTO collective defence mechanisms were discussed.
