Armenian PM decides to resign and hold snap parliamentary elections

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has decided to hold the snap parliamentary elections in September.

In this regard, Pashinyan held an emergency meeting of the party, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.

Azerbaijan urges Armenia to return villages so intensively that Pashinyan decided to resign. The prime minister thinks that the resignation will save him. The elections are scheduled for September 10.

The topic of delimitation of the border with Azerbaijan was again touched upon in Armenia after Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev stated on March 9 that as part of the delimitation and demarcation of the border with Armenia, the issues of liberation of four villages of the Gazakh district should be immediately resolved.

Later, during a meeting with residents of Voskepar village in Tavush province, Pashinyan warned about the likelihood of a new conflict if the Armenian side refuses to discuss the border delimitation and demarcation issues.
