18 September 2026 09:02

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has departed for a working visit to Wiesbaden, Germany.

According to Armenian media, Pashinyan is due to receive the Hessian Peace Prize in Wiesbaden on September 18 in recognition of his efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus.

The Hessian Peace Prize was established on 16 October 1993 by Albert Osswald, a former Prime Minister of the German state of Hesse, together with his foundation.

The prize honours individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to promoting international understanding and peace. Each year, the Hessian Peace Prize Committee selects a recipient, who receives an award of €25,000.

The Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) advises the committee on the selection of recipients and documents the award ceremonies.
