Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in the People’s Republic of China to attend the 25th summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), held a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The talks focused on the normalisation process between Türkiye and Armenia, as well as broader efforts to ensure lasting stability and peace in the South Caucasus, Caliber.Az reports via the Communications Directorate of the Presidency of Türkiye.

“The meeting addressed Türkiye-Armenia relations in light of the steps taken toward lasting stability and peace in the South Caucasus.
President Erdoğan expressed his satisfaction with the progress achieved in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, underlined Türkiye’s support for peace, stability, and development in the region, and said that Türkiye will maintain its contribution to the process.
President Erdoğan also noted that steps aimed at enhancing cooperation between Türkiye and Armenia were being deliberated,” the Directorate said in a statement.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has posted a video on his Facebook page showing his meeting with President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Chinese city of Tianjin.
As reported by Caliber.Az, the details of the conversation have not yet been disclosed, but this is the Armenian premier’s first meeting today on the sidelines of the SCO in China.
