Armenian PM rules out unilateral exit from Russian railway agreement
02 July 2026 18:16
Armenia will not unilaterally terminate its agreement with Russia on the concession for the South Caucasus Railway, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said.
He told a briefing that Yerevan does not intend to revise its position on the agreement, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The PM reiterated his previously stated view that, under current conditions, Armenia is losing its competitive advantages because of the Russian concession to operate the country's railway network.
Armenian authorities have for several months advocated transferring the railway management concession to a third party.
