Armenian PM: Russian border guards have no mandate to stay in Nerkin-Hand section

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that Russian border guards do not have a mandate to stay in the Nerkin-Hand section of the Syunik (Zangezur) region.

Pashinyan made a corresponding statement during the parliamentary session while answering a question from one of the MPs, TASS reports.

“As for this situation, I can say that Russian border guards have neither a mandate nor an agreement. If this means that Russian border guards in this zone cannot carry out activity aimed at security, then we should draw appropriate conclusions,” he added.
