Armenian PM's former chief of staff receives Medal for Services to Homeland

Armenian prime minister's former chief of staff and a member of the Civil Contract parliamentary faction, Arayik Harutyunyan has been awarded the Medal for Services to the Homeland, First Class.

Harutyunyan received the award on the proposal of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and by decree of President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

According to the presidential decree dated September 16, the medal was awarded on the occasion of Independence Day “for significant services to the Homeland, many years of effective activity and dedication to the cause”.

Harutyunyan himself announced the award, publishing photographs from the ceremony.

Harutyunyan has served as Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister since  June 2021. He was elected to parliament in the June 7, 2026,  parliamentary elections.
