Armenian PM's supporters stand against Russian embassy

17 August 2022 18:16

The statement made by the Russian embassy in Armenia on August 17 is still the main topic that is discussed by the Armenian media outlets and social networks.

The embassy sharply condemned the rumours and comments which went viral in Armenia that Russian agencies were involved in the explosion in the Surmalu shopping centre in Yerevan, according to Caliber.Az

Baghramyan 26 Telegram channel supporting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also paid attention to that statement.

This Telegram channel accused the Russian embassy of lying and stated that no one in Armenia accused Russian agencies of involvement in the explosion in Yerevan.

“It is unclear why did the embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia become so irritated? Who or what political force accused the Russian Federation of involvement in the tragedy in Surmalu? What serious accusation was brought or what authoritative media outlet accused Russia of involvement in the explosion in Surmalu?

“What is the reason for such a reaction of the Russian embassy and what kind of reaction does it require for something that did not exist?” the message said.

This Telegram channel has repeatedly accused the Russian embassy in Armenia. Thus, Baghramyan 26 accused the Russian embassy of sponsoring “terrorist spreading fake news” Mika Badalyan on August 15, who “discredits the Armenian state institutions by his activity, to create the society’s distrust in the official information”.
