Armenian PM: Thieves belong in prison VIDEO

28 July 2025 10:36

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has publicly condemned the use of a criminal subculture song Dolya vorovskaya (Доля воровская) during a musical fountain performance in the city of Gyumri.

In a Facebook post published on July 28, Pashinyan wrote, “A thief should be in prison, not playing with fountains,” in apparent reference to the incident, Caliber.Az reports.

The song played during a light and music show at government-installed singing fountains in Gyumri, Armenia’s second-largest city on July 27.

A reminder that unified opposition candidate Vardan Ghukasyan won the mayoral election in Gyumri held in March of 2025.
