Armenian PM to address European Parliament ahead of June elections
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is scheduled to speak at the European Parliament (EP) on March 11, the EP has announced.
This will be Pashinyan’s second address to the European Parliament, following his first speech in 2023, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
The speech comes ahead of Armenia’s parliamentary elections on June 7, 2026, which are expected to shape the country’s future trajectory in rapidly developing relations with Azerbaijan and the ongoing peace process.
“The Government of Armenia is committed to achieving lasting peace with Baku, normalising relations with Türkiye, strengthening ties with the West, and potentially applying for EU membership in the future,” the statement said.
The European Union is currently in dialogue with Armenia on visa liberalisation, and an EU-Armenia summit is planned for May 5.
