Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has confirmed his participation in the upcoming May 9 Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, marking the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The confirmation came during a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Caliber.Az reports via Kremlin’s press service.

The Kremlin’s statement, issued via its Telegram channel, noted that Pashinyan accepted Putin’s invitation to attend the commemorative events in Moscow.

"The Armenian Prime Minister confirmed that he accepts the invitation of the Russian President and will participate in the anniversary celebrations on May 9 in Moscow on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War," the statement read.
