Armenian PM to visit US for religious freedom summit
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will visit the United States in early February, his press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan announced on Facebook.
Pashinyan will participate in the fifth summit of the International Alliance for Religious Freedom, which will take place on February 4-5 in Washington, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
He is scheduled to deliver a speech at the event.
The alliance, founded in 2020, consists of 42 countries.
During his visit, Pashinyan will also attend the National Prayer Breakfast, an annual event in the United States that traditionally includes the participation of the US president.
Earlier, in mid-January, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan visited the United States, where he signed a strategic partnership agreement with then-US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The agreement highlights Armenia’s focus on integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.
