Pashinyan congratulated Trump on his victory in the election and provided details on the current state of relations between Armenia and the US, as well as the developments over the past few years, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian government.
The conversation also covered issues on the regional agenda.
Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Special Assistant to the US President and Senior Director for Europe at the National Security Council Michael Carpenter to discuss regional security issues in Yerevan.
Mirzoyan highlighted the country's efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus and addressed recent discussions regarding the normalisation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
He noted that Armenia's position is clearly reflected in its readiness to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan as soon as possible, as well as in its vision for fostering economic development in the area.
