Armenian police detain suspect after fatal nighttime altercation
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the killing of Boris Arzumanyan. While the Committee confirmed the detention, it has not publicly released the name of the individual.
According to the authorities, criminal proceedings have now been launched against two persons under charges of murder, attempted murder, and hooliganism, Armenia Today reports.
Arzumanyan, aged 31, died in Yerevan after a violent altercation on the night of November 25. The incident occurred on Shoproni Street in the Nor Nork district and involved a fight among roughly 15 individuals, after which a car was reportedly driven over him.
Earlier reports identified one of the detained suspects as Hakob Khachatryan — a relative of a known figure reportedly linked to street gangs — and the driver, Artak Dilanian.
