Armenian police identify second suspect in murder of Parakar community head

Authorities in Armenia have identified the second person involved in the murder of Parakar community head Volody Grigoryan and his friend, investigator Karen Abramyan, according to the Armenian Investigative Committee.

The suspect, 29-year-old Narek Ohanian, was detained and brought to the investigative body. He has given a confession and revealed the location of the weapon used in the crime—an assault rifle, which has been seized by investigators, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.

Authorities noted that a gym membership card found in Ohanian’s bag belonged to another individual involved in the murder, and the card has been submitted to the investigative authorities.

Ohanian faces criminal charges including murder (Part 1, Article 155), attempted murder (Article 44-155), and illegal possession of firearms, ammunition, and related materials (Article 335).
