10 October 2023 17:57

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not take part in the meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council of Heads of State, to be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on October 13.

The prime minister voiced this decision during a phone talk with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Caliber.Az reports.

A phone talk between Japarov and Pashinyan was held at the initiative of the Armenian side, the Kyrgyz presidential press service said.

“Current issues on the bilateral agenda, including the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State were discussed. During the conversation, the Armenian prime minister regretted that he would be unable to take part in the meeting due to some circumstances. The leaders agreed to maintain constant relations and strengthen bilateral relations in the spirit of friendship for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries,” the statement said.
