Armenian president says country committed to peace agenda with neighbours
Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has said that his country is committed to establishing good neighbourly relations with the countries of the region.
He made the remarks during the meeting with Italian Ambassador Alfonso Di Rizzo on the occasion of Italy's Republic Day, Sputnik Armenia reports.
The Armenian President and the Italian diplomat touched upon the situation in the region, with Khachaturyan saying that Yerevan is interested in establishing stable and long-term peace.
Bilateral issues were touched upon as well. The sides attached importance to cooperation in the field of anti-corruption policy and the implementation of Italy's experience in this sphere. Khachaturyan and Di Rizzo also praised the growth in trade turnover and tourist flow.
