05 December 2025 11:56
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia has launched an official inquiry following a complaint submitted by the wife of the country’s Prime Minister.
The office confirmed that the message had been processed in accordance with legal procedures, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Earlier, Anna Hakobyan, the Prime Minister’s spouse, said she had approached the Prosecutor General over alleged pressure on business owners in her name, including issues linked to the “88” supermarket chain.
She called for a formal investigation and emphasised that, if proven, such actions could carry criminal liability. Hakobyan urged any affected entrepreneurs to report incidents to the authorities.
