Armenian prosecutors seek seizure of ex-president Kocharyan's assets Tsarukyan, Khachatryan targeted in crackdown

Armenia's Prosecutor General's Office has filed claims seeking the confiscation of property, financial assets and other holdings belonging to former President Robert Kocharyan, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan and former State Revenue Committee chairman Gagik Khachatryan, as well as individuals associated with them, Armenian media reported.

According to the reports, prosecutors are seeking the confiscation of 22 real estate properties, two property purchase rights, bonds worth more than $3 million, deposits exceeding $1.4 million and 200 million drams, around 985 million drams in additional funds, as well as approximately 19.56 billion drams and 502.3 million drams, described as the unlawful portion of bail posted in a criminal case, from Kocharyan.

The Prosecutor General's Office is also seeking to confiscate 75 real estate properties linked to Tsarukyan, including 52 apartments in Yerevan's Nor Nork district, five apartments on Abovyan Street and 11 apartments in Kotayk Province.

The claim further covers 42 vehicles, the market value of 10 properties, and stakes in 38 legal entities, including Multi Group Concern LLC, Multi Autotrans LLC and Onira Club LLC, among others.

In addition, prosecutors are seeking the recovery of 105,865,865,226 drams (approximately $289 million) from Tsarukyan.

In Khachatryan's case, prosecutors are requesting the confiscation of 193 real estate properties, 29 stakes in legal entities, 14 movable assets, bonds worth more than $1.45 million, deposits totalling $147,200, loan claims exceeding $23 million, and cash amounting to approximately 17.76 billion drams, 409.8 million drams and €9,750.
