Armenian pundit: Azerbaijan's army - army of NATO standards
Armenian political analyst Azat Arshakyan has said that the Azerbaijani Army is an army of NATO standards.
"If we compare, close cooperation with NATO member countries, Azerbaijan has much deeper cooperation with them than we do," Arshakyan said in an interview with Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports.
"It should be remembered that Azerbaijan is closely linked to Türkiye by the formula "one nation, two states". That is, the Azerbaijani army is an armed and trained army that is built according to NATO standards. And it does not hide it. We can say that NATO has a branch in Azerbaijan. It is not a fully NATO army, but as a branch, as an associate member, we can say that NATO represented by Türkiye is in deep and serious cooperation with the Azerbaijani army. Azerbaijan is ahead of us.
I can also add that we also have a military alliance with a NATO rival, which at the moment is a serious obstacle in the alliance's relations. It is simply a barrier," the political scientist said.
