Armenian pundit raps EUMA for spying on Iran and Russia
"On the one hand, the Armenian government claims to be independent and democratic, but on the other hand, it claims that Russia forced them to appoint a high-ranking official. If you were forced to appoint this person, why not appoint everyone else Russia wants?".
Political analyst Argishti Kiviryan expressed this opinion in an interview with Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports.
"You know, the attempt to shift responsibility to others is the line of behavior of the Armenian authorities. Why was he appointed? Because the Armenian government appointed those who agreed with them, and at that time the majority of the military did not agree to deal with the government. They were just catching people on the street and were ready to appoint them to positions. Look at the personnel policy of the Armenian government. After 2020, those who were caught on the street and who agreed to work with them were appointed to posts.
“In addition, the statement of Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, was followed by a statement of the NSC, in which the NSC denies any obstacles for the EU observers. This is another absurdity on the part of the Armenian government, because one wing of the government contradicts the other.
“As for the EU observers, now everybody realizes that they don't solve any problems here. As I said from the outset, the EU observers are dealing with other issues in this region. They are interested in intelligence activities in this region, particularly against Iran and to some extent against Russia. That's what they are motivated to do, to prevent Iran from trying to do any proxy activities in this region, as they are doing in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, or elsewhere. That is, to try to limit Iran.
“All of this is happening because of the political line of the Armenian authorities, which is to try to kick the Russians out of this region at any cost and to keep Iran out," the political analyst said.
