Armenian revanchists reading for another rally in front of government building
The opposition revanchist movement "Tavush (Tovuzgala) for the Motherland", led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, has announced holding a protest rally in front of the Armenian government building on June 13, TASS reports, citing the National Front Telegram channel.
Earlier, there was a clash with the police, who used riot gear, near the parliament building, where the opposition has set up tents and is holding an indefinite rally.
According to the Armenian Ministry of Health, 79 injured citizens sought help.
Meanwhile, the press service of the Interior Ministry said 98 people were detained.
Armenian Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan has been leading protests against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan since April 2024. The protests stem from anger over a border agreement with Azerbaijan.
