Armenian ruling party MP says opposition remarks create risks of new escalation

Artur Hovhannisyan, Secretary of the parliamentary faction of Armenia's ruling Civil Contract party has said that statements by some opposition MPs create risks of new escalation.

He made the remarks at the traditional briefing in the National Assembly on May 23, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The matter particularly concerns Seyran Ohanyan, Garnik Danielyan and Hayk Mamijanyan. They actively criticise the delimitation and demarcation process, considering it wrong and premature.

"It creates risks of escalation for Armenia, for example. What can happen? Yes, you realise it yourself," Hovhannisyan noted.
