Armenian soldier found dead at military base

An Armenian soldier was found dead at a military unit in southern Armenia, the country's Ministry of Defence said.

According to the ministry, the body of serviceman Aramais Gevorgyan was discovered at approximately 12:10 a.m. local time at a military base in the city of Kapan, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media. 

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. The ministry did not provide further details about the cause of death or the events leading up to the incident.
