Armenian soldier’s death prompts arrest of fellow serviceman

Authorities in Armenia have detained a serviceman in connection with the death of Armenian soldier Vahan Petrosyan, the Investigative Committee of Armenia stated.

The detained individual is being investigated under the Armenian Criminal Code for “driving to suicide.” A motion has been filed with the court requesting his arrest, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

Petrosyan’s body, bearing a gunshot wound, was discovered on January 14 within the premises of a military unit. The case remains under active investigation as authorities seek to determine all circumstances surrounding the incident.
