Armenian speaker: Installation of "Nemesis" monument wrong decision
Armenian parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan has said he considers the installation of the "Nemesis" memorial as a wrong decision, as it is not the state policy in Armenia and cannot be.
"Pashinyan's visit was the main event of [Turkish President Recep Tayyip] Erdogan's inauguration. The Armenian prime minister was in the spotlight. Yerevan is ready to normalise relations with Türkiye, even if subjected to harsh criticism," the speaker also commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports, quoting Armenian media.
On April 25, a monument was erected in Armenia’s Yerevan honouring the terrorist Operation Nemesis, which means “revenge”, aimed at the assassinations of Ottoman political and military leaders and Azerbaijani officials.
The operation was organised by Armenians in the early 1920s.
