Armenian tycoon announces political comeback, pledges national unity
Armenian oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan has revealed plans to form a new political team and contest the 2026 parliamentary elections in Armenia.
The announcement, reported by Armenian media and cited by Caliber.Az, comes as Tsarukyan seeks to consolidate support under his initiative, “Armenia’s Proposal.”
The initiative aims to bring together a diverse group of professionals to work toward the country’s development. Tsarukyan stated, “The time will come when I will tell everything, but today is not that day. I am thinking, communicating, and holding discussions with various specialists. Today, there is no person or party in Armenia that can pull our country out of this situation.”
When questioned about how he plans to achieve unification amid recent political persecution in Armenia, Tsarukyan emphasised national solidarity and cooperation.
“There must be peace and solidarity in Armenia; hatred, envy and malice must disappear. For me, Armenia is a big family. If people in a family do not know how to listen to each other, work together and live together, nothing will be effective. We should not sit idly by, gossip and throw mud at each other, but everyone should simply say what they want to do, what they propose,” he said.
