Armenian, UAE defence chiefs discuss regional, international security issues

Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan met with the UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to discuss issues of regional and international security.

The press service of Armenia’s Ministry of Defence stated that the meeting, which took place as part of Papikyan's working visit to the UAE on November 17, involved talks on opportunities for developing bilateral defence cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

They expressed readiness to sign an agreement that would outline the main directions of interaction between Armenia and the UAE.

Papikyan’s visit to the UAE is of a working nature, the Ministry added.
