Armenia unaware of timing and venue of upcoming "3+3" South Caucasus talks
Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said it does not have information regarding the exact date or location of the next ministerial meeting in the “3+3” format, Caliber.Az reported, citing Armenian media.
The statement came in response to journalists’ inquiries.
Earlier, Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan told IRNA that the upcoming “3+3” meeting could take place either in Yerevan or Baku.
“Armenia is ready to host the next ministerial meeting in the ‘3+3’ format, as it announced in 2024 in Istanbul. Azerbaijan has made a similar statement,” the ministry noted.
The ministry added that discussions are still required to finalise the timing and venue for the meeting.
Last week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan that preparations are underway for the third “3+3” ministerial meeting on the South Caucasus. Moscow supports holding the next two meetings in Baku and Yerevan.
