Army chief: Iran preserved missile and drone capabilities until end of conflict
Iran’s armed forces managed to preserve their missile and drone capabilities throughout the conflict despite efforts by the opposing side to destroy them completely, Iranian Army Commander Amir Khatami said on Saturday, according to Iran International.
Khatami said Iranian forces continued launching missiles and drones until the final minutes of the conflict. He also said Iran’s air defence systems remained operational throughout the confrontation and inflicted damage on “enemy” aircraft and military equipment.
According to Khatami, Iran’s adversaries failed to achieve their stated objectives. He rejected claims that the country’s military infrastructure had been completely destroyed.
At the same time, Khatami acknowledged that Iran had suffered casualties among its military personnel and that military facilities and equipment had been damaged during the fighting.
