Astana ready to promote peace process between Baku and Yerevan

Astana is prepared to advance the peace process between Baku and Yerevan by facilitating conducive negotiation conditions.

Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Russia, Dauren Abayev, affirmed this stance to TASS, in response to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's recent initiative to convene a meeting between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Astana.

Abayev emphasized Kazakhstan's readiness to contribute to global processes, extending beyond conflicts like Russia and Ukraine to encompass issues involving Armenia and Azerbaijan, Syria, and Iran. While acknowledging the role of mediators, he underscored Kazakhstan's commitment to providing a platform and establishing favourable conditions for dialogue.
