ASTRA: Assault rifles used to down drones over Saint Petersburg VIDEO

Footage published by the independent media outlet ASTRA shows attempts to intercept Ukrainian drones over Saint Petersburg with assault rifles on June 3.

ASTRA reported that, following the drone attack, a fire broke out at the JSC “Saint Petersburg Oil Terminal”, described by the outlet as the largest oil transshipment facility in north-western Russia.

Thick smoke was visible across multiple parts of the city, including the Expocentre, where the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) opened on the same day. Saint Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov said four people were injured in the incident.

The outlet also reported that the Kronstadt Marine Plant, which services vessels of the Russian Navy, was targeted in Kronstadt. Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces said the Russian Navy corvette Boykiy was struck during the operation.
